Ash Vijay is the founder of Digital Unity Hub and serves as a trustee, providing strategic direction and oversight as the organisation grows. He is a Chartered Engineer and the Digital Champion of North East Scotland, recognised for his work tackling digital exclusion across the region.
Ash founded Digital Unity Hub in October 2022 after witnessing first-hand how the COVID-19 pandemic cut people off from healthcare, family, and essential services due to a lack of digital skills and confidence. What began as a single session with a small group of veterans at the Ellon Royal British Legion has since grown into a community-wide programme delivered in partnership with Connecting Scotland, Mhor Collective, and Live Life Aberdeenshire.
In his professional career, Ash has worked across engineering and infrastructure roles, bringing structured, practical thinking to how Digital Unity Hub plans, governs, and grows sustainably.
