About Us
Digital Unity Hub is a community‑driven initiative based in North East Scotland, delivering free digital inclusion workshops and one‑to‑one support through strong partnerships with organisations such as Connecting Scotland, Mhor Collective, and Live Life Aberdeenshire. Founded in 2022 and led by Digital Champion Ashwanth (“Ash”) Vijay, we operate transparently as a volunteer‑led organisation rooted in public benefit and local collaboration. While our programmes are already aligned with national digital inclusion standards and best practice, we are now working toward formal non‑profit registration in Scotland to strengthen our structure, expand our reach, and ensure long‑term sustainability for the communities we serve.
OUR FOUNDER
Digital Unity Hub was founded in October 2022 by Ashwanth (“Ash”) Vijay — a Chartered Engineer and Digital Champion of North East Scotland.
Ash oversees strategy, programme delivery, and partnerships with a commitment to transparency and community benefit. He was trained by Mhor Collective and is supported by Connecting Scotland.
The initiative is guided by community need, volunteer support, and strong local partnerships — and is building toward formal non-profit registration in Scotland to ensure long-term confidence for funders, partners, and participants.

We are now working toward formal non-profit registration in Scotland — through OSCR (the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator) — to strengthen our governance structure, expand our reach, and provide funders, partners, and participants with long-term confidence in our mission and operations.
