Volunteer With Us
You don’t need to be a tech expert
Our volunteers come from many different backgrounds. What matters most is not technical expertise but kindness, patience, and a willingness to support others.
Sometimes helping someone with technology is about more than just solving a problem. It might mean helping someone reconnect with family through a video call, recover photos they thought were lost, or feel confident enough to try something new online
What Volunteers Do
- Sit beside participants and listen to what they need
- Help them complete digital tasks step by step
- Encourage progress and celebrate small achievements
- Support the welcoming atmosphere of the sessions
- Share their own experience to help others feel more confident
Volunteer Experience
“I was worried I wasn’t technical enough to help. But all I needed to do was sit with someone and guide them through what I knew. That small support made a big difference.”
Volunteering with Digital Unity Hub often leads to meaningful connections, new friendships, and the satisfaction of helping someone take an important step forward.
What to Expect
Attending a Digital Unity Hub session is simple and relaxed. Here’s how it usually works:
Step 1 — Arrive and be welcomed
There is no complicated sign-up process. Simply arrive at the session and a friendly volunteer will welcome you.
Step 2 — Tell us what you need help with
A volunteer will sit beside you and listen to what you would like to learn. No question is too small and no topic is too basic.
Step 3 — Learn step by step
Together, you will work through the task slowly and clearly until you feel comfortable doing it yourself.
